We will be holding the 3rd EDRM Meeting in St. Paul, MN on May 16 and 17, 2007!

At this meeting, we will:
- Celebrate the conclusion of the EDRM XML and EDRM Metrics projects;
- Pursue a modest goal during the afternoon of the first day: to shape the future of electronic discovery; and
- Launch four new projects - EDRM Evergreen; and EDRM Code of Conduct; EDRM Metrics 2; EDRM XML 2.
Reception and Dinner
We cordially invite all current and incoming EDRM participants to join us at a celebratory reception and dinner on Wednesday, May 16 to mark the conclusion of the EDRM Metrics and EDRM XML project. The reception and dinner will be at the Saint Paul Hotel in, of course, Saint Paul, MN - reception at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:30 pm.
The New EDRM Projects
- EDRM Evergreen:
- To ensure that the Electronic Discovery Reference Model remains current and relevant; and
- To enhance the content at each node of the model: Records Management, Identification, etc.
- EDRM Code of Conduct: Focus on developing voluntary ethical guidelines for providers and consumers of electronic discovery services, akin to the guidelines under which attorneys, court personnel and the like operate.
- EDRM Metrics 2:
- To develop tracking and reporting protocols;
- To promote the adoption and use of EDRM Metrics measuring tools to track electronic discovery activity;
- To promote the analysis of data collected; and
- To begin the EDRM Metrics Evergreen process.
- EDRM XML 2:
- To continue development of the EDRM XML schema for metadata;
- To continue development of the EDRM XML schema for project and audit data;
- To develop protocols for numbering electronic files maintained in their native type (e.g., Excel spreadsheets kept as xls files);
- To develop protocols for redacting files maintained in their native type; and
- To begin the EDRM XML Evergreen process.

- Focus: EDRM project updates; Public Relations Committee and Advisory Committee introductions and reports; “Shaping the Future of Electronic Discovery” sessions
Thursday, May 17:
- Time: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Focus: Kick-off meetings for the 4 EDRM projects
