- Symbols such as * or ? included within a Keyword to indicate that the location where the symbols are used may match a single letter or multiple letters.[1]
- The wildcard symbol, typically "*", can be used with any other search to retrieve different variations of the same word, e.g., “insur*” for insurance, or insured.[2]
