EDRM XML Downloads - Why Do We Require Registration?

We require registration for three reasons:

We want to provide REVISED MATERIALS to you as quickly and easily as possible

While we do not envision making major changes to version 1.0 of the EDRM XML XSD, we anticipate that we will continue to refine the file. We want to make sure that we can provide you with the most current versions of materials we already have distributed. We want the process to be quick and easy for you and for us.

We want to provide NEW MATERIALS to you as quickly and easily as possible

We also expect that we will add materials the EDRM XML XSD collection. We plan on distributing or providing access to schema documentation, the validation tool, and validation data set, as well as updates to those materials. By using this approach, we will be able to automatically send links to those materials as they become available.

We want METRICS

We want to be able to track which files have been downloaded, how often they have been downloaded, and similar information. Having this data will help us to better understand how effectively the files are being distributed.

We deliberately have kept the amount of information required for registration to a minimum. If you choose, you may contact us directly to strengthen the dialogue on the evolution of the EDRM XML schema. We welcome and value your input.

We hope that requiring registration will help us meet these goals.
