Dear EDRM Community,

The word of the week is volatile.

Social contagion felled Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank.  California weathers yet another flood inducing atmospheric river.  Eran Kahana created a data stewardship framework for generative AI.  In the UK, legal is embracing the Mindfulness Business Charter, reminiscent of the Sedona Conference Cooperation Proclamation.

In legal tech this week, John Tredennick and our Trusted Partner, Merlin Search Technologies earned looks from Stephanie Wilkins at Legaltech News and Joe Patrice at Above the Law for his groundbreaking Cloud Utility Pricing enabled by cloud based single tenant architecture. We’re preparing for Legalweek and hope to see you.  The banking and crypto crises will highlight firms with personnel and technology able to wrestle new data types and arrangements as contracts unravel and regulation and investigations proliferate.  Ralph Losey penned a two part series From Information to Knowledge to Wisdom: Can Ai Save the Day? – Part 1 available today.  For Sunshine Week, Rob Robinson of Complex Discovery, looked at the French attraction to DSAR’s.  Jason Tashea and Georgetown’s Justice Tech project have Innovation Fellowships in underserved geographies for underserved communities. Our Trusted Partner, Ricoh, will cover cross border issues between Canada and the US on their webinar, March 15, 1 PM Eastern: A New Look at Old Data Strategies: Management, Organization & Canada/US Border Readiness with Sean Lynch, Dir., Client Strategy, Legal Services, Jessica Lockett, B.A., LL.B., M.A., Director, Review Services, Ricoh Canada and Mary Mack.

Save the date for EDRM’s Detroit Symposium/Workshop June 1-2, 2023 with keynote speaker Craig Ball. Project teams will be invited to present and collaborate, as well as Advisory Council leaders and partners. Space will be limited, so let us know you are coming. Registration will be available shortly.
