Saint Paul, Minnesota—February 13, 2014—EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announces the reintroduction and refinement of its Privacy & Security Risk Reduction Model (PSRRM). Initially introduced in September 2013 and developed by EDRM’s Data Set group, the model provides a process for reducing the volume of private, protected and risky data by using a series of steps applied in sequence as part of the information management, identification, preservation and collection phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model.

It’s been another busy month of activity for EDRM members, in particular the Metrics team who published both a glossary of terms and a set of metrics calculators. Lots of other projects are progressing well and we expect to see several completed before the end of 2013. Plans are also continuing for next year’s transition of EDRM to a non-profit organization.

Saint Paul, Minnesota—November 21, 2013—EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announced today the release of a set of budget calculators available on the EDRM website. Budget Calculators were provided by EDRM members to be used as resources for others developing their own budget calculators, or as templates for those wanting to get cost estimates for e-discovery projects. The site contains descriptions of the calculators, suggestions for use, and instructions for the calculators. They are available on the resources page of the EDRM website.

Saint Paul, Minnesota—November 12, 2013—EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announced today the publishing of a new metrics glossary. The glossary contains definitions for 90 terms used in connection with the updated EDRM Metrics Model published in June 2013 and is available on the resources page of the EDRM website.

It’s been a busy and exciting month, so we have lots of important news to share…\r\n\r\nEarlier this week marked the release of the EDRM Collection Standards, which offer guidance for developing reasonable collection strategies. The standards are posted on the EDRM website for review and comment until November 15th, after which they will be finalized. A big thanks goes out to the dedicated team who developed the initiative and saw it through over the past few months.

Saint Paul, Minnesota—October 30, 2013—EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announces the introduction of Collection Standards for electronically stored information (ESI). A draft of the EDRM Collection Standards is available for review and comment on the EDRM website. The public comment period extends through November 15, 2013.
