EDRM Launches Membership Drive

Organization seeks to expand collection of talent and expertise as it continues to develop and share practical resources for the electronic discovery market\r\n\r\nSaint Paul, Minnesota—August 13, 2013EDRM, the leading standards organization for the e-discovery market, announces its fall campaign for new members. EDRM is offering memberships to individuals and organizations that wish to contribute to the overall improvement of the electronic discovery process by participating in the development and delivery of guidelines, standards, and new resources to the electronic discovery industry.\r\n\r\nSince its inception, EDRM has comprised more than 260 member organizations representing every aspect of e-discovery and information governance. Attorneys, IT professionals, litigation, and e-discovery directors and others from corporations, law firms, government, consulting firms, software companies, and service providers are welcome to join EDRM. Members select projects in which to participate based on their individual areas of interest.\r\n\r\n“EDRM continually seeks new individuals and organizations to join its efforts and share the latest trends and insights that will help to shape current and future projects,” said EDRM Co-founder George Socha. Launched in May 2005, EDRM was established to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the e-discovery market. In January 2006, EDRM published the Electronic Discovery Reference Model, followed by additional resources such as IGRM, CARRM, and the Talent Task Matrix.
