September 2013 Highlights

\r\nEDRM’s Data Set group introduced the new EDRM Privacy Risk Reduction Model.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Metrics group introduced a new EDRM Metrics Model, replacing the EDRM Metrics Cube, and published a new draft EDRM Metrics Glossary.\r\n\r\nEDRM hosted “New Ways of Seeing: Visual Analytics Comes of Age in E-Discovery,” a webinar sponsored by AccessData.\r\n\r\nEDRM participated in “EDRM’s New Computer Assisted Review Reference Model (CARRM)—Beyond the Test Drive,” a webinar hosted by Exterro.\r\n\r\nEDRM added E-Discovery Law 653 at the University of Alabama Law School to the programs whose enrollees may join EDRM as student members.\r\n\r\n

\r\nEDRM will hold its mid-year meeting on October 10 & 11. For details, click here.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Collection Standards group is developing an EDRM Collection Standard. A companion to the EDRM Identification Standard and the EDRM Production Standard, the Collections Standard will outline standards for the collection of electronically stored information in discovery.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s IGRM group is putting together a white paper focusing on the disposal of unwanted ESI.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Jobs group is preparing an article about the Discovery Diamond – a visual tool to help explain the various roles of people carrying out review projects.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Metrics group is assembing a set of budget calculators to be made available through EDRM’s website.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Native group is developing new ENF (encapsulated native file) standard for the production of native files.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Search group should soon be ready to introduce the new EDRM Search Intent Model.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s XML group is updating the EDRM XML 2.0 schema and preparing an accompanying validation tool.\r\n\r\n
