Epiq Outage Confirmed as Ransomware Attack

Frank Ready from LegalTech News reports that Epiq Global is still down as of March 2, 2020 at 5PM EST.  An Epiq spokesperson confirmed that the outage was caused by a ransomware attack.  Production systems with client data are offline, including Epiq instances of Relativity Software.  Shawn Gaines, Relativity’s VP of Marketing clarified Monday that the issue isn’t related specifically to Relativity Server or RelativityOne broadly. “We know Epiq is working diligently to address the outage, and we’ve been in touch if there’s anything we can do to help,” Gaines said.
