The Honorable Judge Andrew J. Peck (ret.). Chambers Ranked Senior Counsel at DLA Piper, and EDRM Global Advisory Council leader, was chosen as the 2022 Honorable Shira Scheindlin Lifetime Achievement in Ediscovery Hero Award presented by Zapproved, an EDRM Guardian Plus Trusted Partner.
For over 20 years, Judge Peck served on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and wrote opinions about many of the foundational issues in eDiscovery including electronically stored information (ESI)generally, search terms, technology assisted review (TAR) and predictive coding, boilerplate objections and FRE 502(d) orders.
The award will be presented as part of The Discovery Hero Awards program which will be held virtually on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7p.m. ET. The award itself, is named after Hon. Shira Scheindlin (Ret.), a former U.S. District Court Judge for the Southern District of New York. Both Judge Scheindlin (ret.) and Judge Peck (ret.) serve with National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) who celebrated with a press release.
Judge Peck is ranked in Band 2 by Chambers and Partners in their 2021 Chambers USA guide in Nationwide E-Discovery & Information Governance. Chambers commented that his “former position as a US Magistrate Judge, and prior experience as a broad-based commercial litigator, make him a unique asset to clients, who regularly engage him as special e-discovery counsel”.
