Weekly Letter to our Global Community: 15 Feb 22

EDRM Letter to our global communiity 15th Feb 22

Dear EDRM community,

The word for the week is narrative.

As March approaches with the late start of our legal tech season, EDRM will showcase our Trusted Partners and their new offerings to help you narrow your dance card deeper dives at Legalweek and the other conferences emerging like crocuses in the spring.

Apparently organic protests at the Canadian-US border allegedly originated from a hacked senior citizen’s Facebook account, resolving after a court order and a patient law enforcement response.  The faceoff between Russia, Ukraine and surrounding countries continues to threaten to boil over, with alternative visions of reasons, consequences and collateral damage being spun into reality.  Countries, regions, localities, schools, businesses and families are shifting precautions and risk assessments for COVID-19 and gathering.

In legal tech this week, return to the office is back as an imperative, with many going to a hybrid 3-2 in office/work at home schedule.  Uncolored hair, comfortable pants and flip-flopped extroversion/introversion tendencies on display. Formerly forbidden topics like “Mental health” replacing “wellness” or “equity” replacing “diversity” are reshaping conversations in our recruit and retain climate.  EDRM teams are grappling with fact analysis, story building and synthetic data as work product is being reviewed.

As March approaches with the late start of our legal tech season, EDRM will showcase our Trusted Partners and their new offerings to help you narrow your dance card deeper dives at Legalweek and the other conferences emerging like crocuses in the spring.
