Weekly Letter to our Global Community: 5 Apr 22

EDRM Letter to the Community 5 Apr 22

Dear EDRM community,

The word for today is break.  The stories and photos emerging from previously occupied cities and towns in Ukraine are harrowing and a breach of international rules of war regarding civilian populations.  War crime evidence is being collected as battles and bombings rage. Negotiations for a cease fire simmer even as families in other parts of the world celebrate holidays, holy days and Spring Break.

In legal tech this week, Zach Warren said a fond farewell to Victoria Hudgins, who has been covering our space with her keen eye and pen. EDRM adds our good wishes.

In legal tech this week, Zach Warren said a fond farewell to Victoria Hudgins, who has been covering our space with her keen eye and pen. EDRM adds our good wishes.  One of Victoria’s last articles covered mental health specifically in our community, with our interrupt-driven, judge-mandated deadlines.  Our need for confidentiality limits who can be talked with to solve emotional problems.  To avoid more of the Great Resignation, forward thinking firms are building in sustainable teams via sustainable contracting and staffing.

Our “Run-Up to Legalweek” had great webinar presentations from our EDRM Trusted Partners to give you a taste of their offerings in case you missed them. The offerings from Onna, Exterro, Cellebrite and Merlin Search Technologies are freely available on demand.

EDRM projects are open to new contributors again, please reach out to info@edrm.net to let us know your interest, and we will introduce you to the appropriate Project Trustee.  You can check out EDRM’s project listings here.

Our Syndicated EDRM Global Podcast Network is available via iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and your favorite podcast app, so you can listen at your leisure.  Kaylee and Mary have our own podcast, the Illumination Zone, joining TAR Talk podcast and Ryan Short’s eDiscovery After Hours.  Reach out to info@edrm.net to suggest guests, including your own fabulous self.

We continue to Zoom gather for an hour to give and get general support in our one hundred and eighth week each Tuesday.  These sessions are point in time for us as humans and are not recorded.

Email us at info@edrm.net to be included on the group invitation for our interactive general support. Remember, you are not alone, and you are welcome at our events, or to reach out for help.  If you are having a mental health emergency, please consider these resources for professional help.

We welcome your participation in our projects, webinars, support gatherings, and our EDRM Hub, our job board/event/directory website.  There is no charge for these EDRM offerings, thanks to our very generous partners.

Hearts broken open,
Mary & Kaylee
