Weekly Letter to Our Global Community – 30 Nov 22

weekly Letter to our global communiity 29-11-22

Dear EDRM community,

The word of the week is enough.

A football team bus, an LGBTQI bar and the Walmart breakroom are the latest venues for mass shootings.  The Chinese people are creative, courageous and uncharacteristically out loud about their desire for freedom from lockdowns.  Anti-Semites are being hosted for dinner and on platforms.  Like healthcare websites sending HIPAA data to Facebook, so too are tax filing services.  The entire city of Houston, TX was put under a boil water notice.

In legal tech this week, Relativity welcomed new CEO, Phil Saunders.  Richard Tromans announced a well-deserved sabbatical.  Congratulations to Bob Ambrogi who celebrated 20 years of bloggingReynen Court announced cutbacks due to economic conditions.  While some organizations continue to hire, and A players will find their seat in the musical chairs of our community, it feels like the Candidates market has shifted to an Employer’s market. Preservation in place just got riskier for Twitter data.  Lockhaven Solutions explained the importance of Table Top Exercises in their Cyber Risk Management Chronicles.  And, Sheila Grela is the 2022 Gayle O’Connor GO Spirit Award.

Today: Nov. 29, 1PM Eastern. How a Smoking Gun Message Illustrates the Importance of Slack ESI in eDiscovery with Doug Austin, Derek M. Duarte, Esq., Colleen E. Freeman, Esq., CEDS and John A. Sten, Esq.

December 1, all day, E-Discovery Day with live and virtual events, incredible education and a fun virtual Kahoot networking event.  See Helen Geib’s “5 Reasons to Love E-Discovery Day” and Tim Rollins’ “Judge Andrew Peck (ret.) Opines on E-Discovery Day”.

We’d love to hear from you:  info@edrm.net will get to both Kaylee and Mary.
