Dear EDRM Community,
The word of the week is balloon.
The death toll for Syria and Turkey keeps increasing due to the devastating earthquake. After a meander over Canadian and US airspace, the US shot a Chinese surveillance or weather balloon out of the sky over the Carolina coast. Russia continues its assault into Ukraine. Microsoft announced ChatGPT will be used in Bing and Google announced their own generative AI called Bard. Maybe not so coincidently, ChatGPT passed the Google coding interview for a level 3 engineer.
In legal tech this week, Julia Agwin gifts us some algorithmic validation lessons with applicability to our space as she exits the Markup. A judge used ChatGPT to draft an opinion, Getty sued to protect its images. We’ll be taking a close look at this study on creating synthetic data. Ralph Losey enlists ChatGPT to explain his active machine learning method and our Trusted Partner, Lockhaven Solutions were honored by Senator Tammy Duckworth. Susan Bennett of our Trusted Partner, InfoGov ANZ, invites EDRM to take part in the 4th #InfoGov Industry Survey tracking developments over the past 7 years – have your say and provide your valuable insights here: https://surveymonkey.com/r/WJ26KT6. Bobby Balachandran, Founder and CEO of our Trusted Partner, Exterro, lays out his vision in the second of a two part series on the acquisition of Zapproved.
