At EDRM, we recognize that innovation and success stem from a team where each individual feels valued, seen, and heard. Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is an integral part of our company culture. EDRM welcomes everyone and is a multidisciplinary community.

Diversity: We are dedicated to fostering an environment that embraces the richness of our collective backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and identities. We value the uniqueness of every team member and believe that our strength lies in our diversity. This includes, but is not limited to, differences in race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, nationality, age, disability, and veteran status. We include a diversity of viewpoints seeking full participation from representatives both requesting and receiving parties, plaintiff, defense, government, education, corporate and not for profit entities. We also seek representatives from our multidisciplinary community in eDiscovery, litigation support, regulatory, compliance, security, privacy, IT and corporate legal departments and law firm practices. We also include service providers and platforms, as their perspectives are critical to moving us forward as a community as they take their employer hat off to participate fully.

Equity: We commit to ensuring fairness in our company, from hiring to promotions, from decision-making processes to opportunity creations. We strive to eliminate any barriers that hinder the full participation of any individual, regardless of their background or personal characteristics. We aim to distribute resources and opportunities in a manner that allows every team member to attain their fullest potential. EDRM projects emerge organically, and EDRM releases an all community call for participants for those on a track to move forward. There is no charge for individuals to participate in EDRM projects toward leveling the playing field.

Inclusion: We believe that it’s not just about being present but also about being actively involved. Hence, we aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed and where every voice matters. We ensure that all our team members feel respected, are treated fairly, and are given equal opportunities to express their ideas and contribute to the company’s success. We have roles for subject matter experts as mentors and drafters, and new persons to the material are welcomed as quality control for understanding or project management. For those in between, we encourage them to edit.

Belonging: We strive to cultivate a culture where everyone feels they truly belong. We want our team members to feel safe and comfortable to be their authentic selves. We believe that feeling valued and accepted as a part of the team leads to higher satisfaction, increased creativity, and improved performance. EDRM encourages our EDRM Diplomats to introduce themselves and others at events to welcome people. We encourage respectful communication and appreciate the strength our differences can provide for us.

At EDRM, we understand that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are not just buzzwords, but values that we uphold and apply in our everyday interactions and operations. They form the foundation of our company culture, contribute to our creativity, resilience, and growth, and ultimately enable us to better serve our community and make a positive impact in the world.

As we move forward, we will continually reassess our efforts, make necessary adjustments, and learn from our experiences to uphold these principles and represent and embraces the diverse world we live in.
