Every year for the past twelve years, our community has celebrated eDiscovery Day with educational activities, networking events, community service and the annual Gail O’Connor Spirit Award.
Adding to the traditional activities, Exterro’s eDiscovery Day will be welcoming and honoring the standout relative newcomers to our community. They have envisioned and championed the Rising Stars of eDiscovery Award.
Nominate early, nominate often! Let’s celebrate our next generation of leaders!

The award is meant to recognize five newcomers demonstrating success, mentorship and leadership who are just beginning their eDiscovery careers. We are asking for nominations of individuals, who may be entry level, or career changers, and working with us in eDiscovery for less than 5 years.
Community members will nominate and the five organizations behind eDiscovery Day will score and choose the winners. Nominees with five years or less in the field will be chosen on the basis of their demonstrated ability to “shape the future of eDiscovery.”
Eligible nominees:
- Work in-house, at a law firm, or in government
- Practice in eDiscovery, legal operations, litigation support, or a related discipline
- Have five years or less of experience in the eDiscovery field
Non-eligible nominees include: employees of software and technology vendors, service providers, ALSPs, consultancies, and the founding partner organizations of eDiscovery Day (Exterro, ACEDS, EDRM, eDiscovery Today, and LegalOps.com)
Nominations can be submitted through November 6, 2026 at surveymonkey.com/r/rising-stars-of-ediscovery-nomination. One representative will be chosen from each partner to score nominees on “impact, judgment, contribution to the field, and career trajectory.”
The winner will be announced at the eDiscovery Day keynote on December 3rd. They’ll be featured “across each partner’s channels, including podcast and webinar appearances, published interviews, and a winner profile on eDiscoveryDay.com.”
