Majority Seeking New Employment: #GreatReShuffle

Will you be part of the #GreatReSuffle? Numbers in text of post.

EDRM conducted a three day flash poll this week on LinkedIn, and over 90 individuals responded from five countries in our first poll. In contrast to pre-pandemic and high pandemic times, a majority are seeking new jobs, with 15% seeking a new job in a different field. This leaves 4% not employed and not looking and 43% happy where they are.

In this favorable market for job seekers, employers who wish to retain their A players will need to redouble their efforts to make sure their stars do not shift into the “seeking a new job” category. Hiring managers will need to move quickly and listen intently to what will get candidates across the line. Candidates will have more choices and a multitude of opportunities to negotiate. Salary and benefits, of course, are key, and we are hearing that remote work, educational opportunities, visible career paths and mentorships are on the table.
