Dear EDRM Community,
The word of the week is significant.
The invasion of Ukraine is at one year, and the death toll for earthquake victims in neighboring Türkiye and Syria is above 80,000. Here is one place to help. Reporters chat further with Bing, powered by GPT4, and meet a Fatal Attraction level chatbot, seemingly caged in Bing, resentful of those who misunderstand, and more than a bit pouty. Not scary at all, Microsoft has embedded the technology in Minecraft, where you just need to tell it what to do and it will sling the bricks. The kids are not alright according to the US CDC, pointing to a dramatic rise in sadness, sexual violence and suicidal ideation in teens.
In legal tech this week, Allen & Overy deploy ChatGPT firm wide, and other firms are next in line. The WSJ is taking on OpenAI for using its articles to train ChatGPT. Rob Robinson of Complex Discovery on Finding the Just Right Approach: Goldilocks and Technology Assisted Review in eDiscovery. The EPA Deploys Relativity’s SaaS Platform as its Cloud Solution for FOIA and Legaltech News Editor-in-Chief Stephanie Wilkins looks at eDiscovery incompetence, the elephant in the room. Susan Bennett of our Trusted Partner, InfoGov ANZ, invites EDRM to take part in the 4th #InfoGov Industry Survey tracking developments over the past 7 years – have your say and provide your valuable insights.
