EDRM Augments Policy Documents

As EDRM evolves as a multidisciplinary, global, project based community, the following policies have emerged to guide our activities.

EDRM owes a debt of gratitude to ComplexDiscovery’s Rob Robinson for leading the way, creating tools and frameworks to support our collective use cases and several of these are edited and used with permission from ComplexDiscovery and noted in the policy itself.

In alphabetical order, EDRM’s policies are as follows:

  1. Accessibility Statement.
  2. Cookie Policy.
  3. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Statement.
  4. Generative AI and Large Language Model Policy
  5. Privacy Policy.
  6. Terms of Use Policy

Accessibility Statement.

EDRM, as a global, multidisciplinary project based community, benefits when everyone in our community is able to participate and communicate in our communities.  To that end, EDRM followed the lead of ComplexDiscovery’s Rob Robinson in choosing to implement UserWay’s Web Accessibility Widget, powered by dedicated accessibility server.  The software allows EDRM to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). The plugin is visible on the lower right of the screen, and when pressed, will activate accessibility features. Read the entire policy here.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

Accessibility is only one of the foundations of EDRM’s intention that all are welcome and all have something to learn and to contribute.  To that end, EDRM has no financial barrier in membership fees for participation for individuals enabled by our wonderful Trusted Partners.  We intentionally invite professionals from throughout the ecosystem, including partners, associates, staff and contract attorneys, paralegals, practice and litigation support, general and agc attorneys, legal operations, project management, IT, data science, security, forensics, compliance, training, marketing, change management, information governance and privacy.

As a global community, we are aware of our differences in geography, jurisdiction, language, race, gender, sexual orientation and stakeholder status and seek input and participation from the broader community.  Read the entire policy here.

Generative AI and Large Language Model Policy

EDRM is excited by the possibilities opened by Generative AI and Large Language Models, and wary of impacts.  To that end, EDRM requires our authors and faculty to disclose of the use of Generative AI for both text and images.  EDRM itself uses Generative AI for brainstorming, and we edit and validate output.  Read the entire policy here.

Privacy Policy.

As a global legal tech community, EDRM is sensitive to the changing privacy regulations throughout regions, countries, localities and industries.  To capture and consent, and to update for new privacy regulations, EDRM again follows the lead of Rob Robinson of ComplexDiscovery in using the Termly App. Read the entire policy here.

It is EDRM’s policy to minimize cookies by design, and to adhere to marketing regulation while at the same time, providing aggregate insights into clicks and page views.  EDRM will scan our site periodically and update our policies, cookie, privacy and term of service, through Termly’s application.  Read the entire policy here
