Weekly Letter to Our Global EDRM Community – 11 Jul 2023

Dearest EDRM community,

The word of the week is timing.

The Ukraine war is 500 days old, and the US has promised cluster munitions, banned by 100 countries, in hopes of ending it this year.  El Nino is here, amplifying floods and heatdomes. YouTube meme star  Mr. Beast appeared to troll Elon Musk by offering a Tesla to celebrate the release Meta’s Threads the same week Twitter and Tweetdeck went silent for most users.  Via Sabrini Pacifici and Kottke, the Washington Post has a Wordle competitor, keyword.

In legal tech this week, Bruce Schneier, leading security analyst, proposed an AI dividend to be paid to citizens much like Alaska’s dividend for resource sales. Bob Zeidman took his arbitration award over Mike Lindell’s election evidence challenge to federal court to collect.   Bob Zeidman’s webinar on the EDRM Global Webinar channel is here.  New cars have some tracking prowess.  Wired does an explainer on OpenAI’s DSAR form to get your data out of the results.  The new TV show Silo opens with a post on how to undelete data leads to an ancient hard drive mounted and analyzed.  For no good reason, here are some manual redaction markers that work. The Summer eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey is closing soon and we would so appreciate your valuable insights, you can take the survey here.
