Dearest EDRM community,

The word of the week is challenge.

Russia scuttled a grain deal that had mitigated world hunger. Europe and the US are vying for the top hot spot, with millions of people in the United States and Europe continuing to be under heat-related warnings; with Spain battling wildfires. Wikipedia rolled out audio engagement tools and you can check for GPT plagiarism per Bespacfic. Kahoot got acquired for $1.7B.

In legal tech this week, more law firms are getting hacked.  Autonomous AI agents are getting funded.  There are lessons from the National Archives on preserving critical documents.  Business confidence is up according to Rob Robinson’s Summer 2023 eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey results.  EDRM is grateful to our community for participating in this benchmark. The Short Message Metadata Primer 1.0 is open for your comments and feedback. From our Trusted Partner, Reed Smith, the EU formally adopted an EU-US privacy framework.

EDRM announced five new projects that are seeking contributors:  EDRM 2.0, ESI Protocol Team, TAR Protocol Team, eDiscovery Workflow Team, and the Generative AI Team.

Reach out to info@edrm.net and let us know what project and how you would like to contribute and we will be happy to connect you with the project trustee.
