Dearest EDRM community,

The phrase of the week is moving fast!

Juneau Alaska is reeling from a glacier lake outburst flood.  Scientists have duplicated December’s fusion energy breakthrough.  Zoom is asking employees back to the office. The decades old Hacktivist group, Cult of the Dead Cow will release a new secure communications framework at DEFCON 2023. Elon Musk will cover the legal costs of employees disciplined by employers for posting on his X site.

3 Geeks and a Law Blog generated the numbers for the impacts from AI for law firms and they are compelling.  John Tredennick immediately gave it the Generative AI treatment.  Via Doug Austin, government agencies are experimenting with generative ai.  Bob Ambrogi takes on the ABA around censorship and its obligations as the largest and most powerful group of attorneys in a self-regulated profession.
