Dearest EDRM community,

The word of the week is labor.

Returning from the US Labor Day weekend, the SAG-AFTRA strike now includes video games after a unanimous vote. India’s moon rover completed its activities. Turkey is attempting to broker a “safe passage for grain” deal with Russia. Desert based Burning Man flooded out.  Gabon’s coup leader was sworn in.

EDRM Project Leaders Khrys McKinney (AI Ethics/Bias), Cristin Traylor (Priv Logs), Jay Yelton (Special Master and Discovery Neutral), Monica Harris and Matt Rasmussen (Short Message Metadata Primer 1.0) and Dave Cohen (GDPR) updated the community on progress on the EDRM Global Webinar channel.

It’s available on demand, if you missed it.

Reveal acquired EDRM Trusted Partner, IPRO along with Logikcull.  Avalon acquired Tower Legal.  August’s case law webinar was a hot one. It’s on demand here if you missed it.  Greg Buckles’ eDiscovery Journal has launched a curated guide to the Microsoft Roadmap for eDiscovery peers, starting with Microsoft 365. Bspacific reports on Bloomberg’s interactive report on inhouse use of GenAI. For those who spent the Labor Day weekend looking for another job, Kaylee Walstad offers resources on bouncing back after a layoff.
