The US FCC fined cell carriers for selling location data. Wireless signals are being captured by surveillance tools in at least two US border towns. French cyberwarriors will test their defenses at the Olympics. A doctored election related video gave rise to an arrest of an Indian opposition party leader.
- International eDiscovery Trends: Microsoft has an API export overage charge for data collected from M365 and Greg Buckles has scenarios to break budgets. Some data breach reports are not privileged in Ontario. - World Events Impacting Legal Tech: Houston, Tanzania and Brazil suffered flooding this week, with record high temperatures in Southeast Asia. There is a serious settlement offer on the table in the Israel – Hamas war even as rockets fly and Gaza is in famine. Student protests supporting Gaza continue during graduation ceremonies on some campuses and have ended on others. Moscow highlighted NATO drills as preparation for fighting. The US Air Force is publicly piloting AI controlled fighter jets. China flies to the dark side of the moon. Scientists found a way to convert blood from A and B into universal donor O type blood. It was the 150th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby.
