Global Legal Tech Developments: Congratulations to Legaltech Hub on Stephanie Wilkins joining the team. Before leaving her beloved Legaltech News, Stephanie, with her crackerjack team of Rhys Dipshan, Isha Marathe, and (now Law360’s) Cassandre Coyer, created an AI Glossary. Meta introduced AI that can generate a movie from a picture. Pulse oximeters are finally being tested on brown skin after years of false readings.

EDRM Trusted Partner Level Legal’s David Greetham was quoted throughout Above the Law’s Joe Patrice’s reporting and analysis of the NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ cell phone imbroglio. The Complex Discovery Summer 2024 eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey results show slight decreases in financial categories and an increase in the use of AI. World Events Impacting Legal Tech: As the world marks a year since October 7, Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran continue to engage militarily and are no closer to a cease-fire. North Carolina and Georgia continue to look for their missing as they dig out without water, roads, and basic infrastructure. Another evacuation-causing Category 4 storm is set to hit central Florida this week. Complex Discovery chronicled the past week between Russia and Ukraine, including Russia’s social media crackdown. US Dockworkers are back on the job until after the new year when limits on automation will be negotiated.
