Dearest EDRM Community,
Word of the week: Acceleration
In legal tech last week, Craig Ball revised his popular Electronic Evidence Workbook for 2026, Mike Berman advocated for a national standard on “possession, custody and control,” and ComplexDiscovery OU’s Rob Robinson lit the way to address threats to encrypted data via increases in computing power, particularly quantum. Ralph Losey rebutted Matt Shumer’s thesis around AI immediately replacing attorneys, revisiting his own conclusions after the OpenAI bar exam results reassessment. Relativity released a survey of General Counsel with Ari Kaplan and FTI; GCs are worried more this year about regulation and robots.
Join us for our Trusted Partner HaystackID®’s Webcast, Real Benefits, Real Constraints: A Practical Guide to Copilot Rollout, on February 25th at 12PM ET. And, if you are planning your Legalweek, put Nook 750 on your exhibit hall dance card.
