The US is supporting Israel militarily, as civilians in Gaza move south to safety from Israel’s announced operations in the North to recover hostages and neutralize Hamas. Qatar brokered the release of 4 Ukrainian children from Russia with hopes for more. Rite-Aid filed for bankruptcy. Layoffs in big tech continue. The United Autoworkers strike may be joined by casino workers striking in Detroit, as the Screenwriters Union members go back to work.

Doug Austin reports on ComplexDiscovery’s eDiscovery Business Confidence Survey results as Rob Robinson digs into the first survey numbers on generative AI and LLM uptake. EDRM Trusted Partner HaystackID now offers self-service eDiscovery. EDRM’s Privilege Log Protocol project team announced the final version of its protocol. EDRM Announced Level Legal as its newest Trusted Partner.
The DupeID project, led by Trustee Beth Patterson, announced that four major platforms have implemented the EDRM MIH for cross-platform email duplicate identification. Reveal, Relativity, edt and Nuix support the EDRM MIH in their respective platforms with Law In Order writing the app for Relativity support.
The Priv Log project, led by Trustee Cristin Traylor, considered the public comments submitted and published its final paper.
EDRM Project Leaders Khrys McKinney (AI Ethics/Bias), Cristin Traylor (Priv Logs), Jay Yelton (Special Masters and Discovery Mediators), Monica Harris and Matt Rasmussen (Short Message Metadata Primer 1.0) and Dave Cohen (GDPR) updated the community on progress on the EDRM Global Webinar channel.
