WASHINGTON, D.C. — August 24, 2026 — iCONECT today announced a strategic partnership with eDiscovery AI to develop an integrated AI-powered document review experience for legal teams managing litigation, investigations and other data-intensive matters.
The partnership is the first step toward bringing eDiscovery AI’s purpose-built technology for relevance review, privilege identification and personally identifiable information (PII) detection into the iCONECT platform. Development of the integration is underway, with additional details about functionality and availability to be announced as the work progresses.
By combining their purpose-built AI technology with iCONECT’s proven review platform, we intend to give our clients a more intelligent and efficient way to manage complex document review.
Eric Dirks, Chief Revenue Officer at iCONECT.
The collaboration is guided by a shared vision: enabling legal teams to use advanced AI within a secure, controlled and defensible review environment. The planned integration is intended to help teams reduce repetitive review work, identify relevant and sensitive information earlier, and maintain clear oversight of AI-assisted review decisions—all within the systems and workflows they already trust.
“Legal teams are ready to embrace the advantages of generative AI, but they cannot compromise control, transparency or defensibility,” said Eric Dirks, Chief Revenue Officer at iCONECT. “Our partnership with eDiscovery AI begins the work of bringing these priorities together. By combining their purpose-built AI technology with iCONECT’s proven review platform, we intend to give our clients a more intelligent and efficient way to manage complex document review.”
The companies expect the planned integration to support several critical review functions:
- AI-assisted relevance classification to help teams prioritize potentially responsive documents
- Privilege identification to surface sensitive communications for further review
- PII detection to help identify information that may require protection or redaction
- Review tracking designed to support transparency, quality control and defensibility
“iCONECT has a long history of helping legal teams manage complex review workflows securely and effectively,” said Jim Sullivan, Founder and CEO of eDiscovery AI. “This partnership gives us an opportunity to combine that experience with our AI technology and develop a practical, integrated solution for the challenges legal teams face every day. We share iCONECT’s commitment to making AI more useful, transparent and defensible.”
The partnership reflects iCONECT’s broader strategy of expanding the intelligence available within its platform while maintaining the security, flexibility and workflow control required by law firms, corporations, legal service providers and public-sector organizations.
“Our objective is not simply to add another AI tool,” Dirks added. “It is to thoughtfully incorporate AI into the review process so that it delivers meaningful value to our clients. This partnership establishes the foundation for that work.”
