Event: EDRM Workshop: Let’s Deep Dive into How eDiscovery Pros Make Generative AI Their Greatest Asset

EDRM Deep Dive into AI Workshop

When it comes to generative AI, there seems to be a lingering question on top of every eDiscovery professional’s mind: are the robots coming for my job? Generative AI, technology that can autonomously create different outputs, is here to stay and while it has its limitations, this technology will only continue getting better.

In a McKinsey Global Survey, 40% of C-suite leaders and executives reported that they plan to increase their AI investments due to generative AI advancements. Further, 28% of those surveyed said that using generative AI is on their board’s agenda.

Generative AI probably isn’t coming for your job anytime soon, but if you are the proponent or opponent of evidence in court, or a judge or a juror, you are likely in for a bumpy ride in the real near future.

Now, it’s not all doom and gloom from here. Generative AI’s rise doesn’t equate to your downfall. On the contrary, we believe that industry professionals can make generative AI their greatest asset.

In our upcoming workshop, we invite our community to come together to learn how we can use generative AI to uplevel what we do.

Join our discussion to deep fake dive into this technology’s:

  • Potential use cases
  • Limitations and biases
  • Untapped potential

We want this workshop to be collaborative in nature, so please come with any questions or tips on how our industry can benefit from using generative AI. The format will include a 30-minute panel discussion followed by a 15-minute Q&A and 15-minute optional breakout rooms.

Moderated by Mary Rechtoris Bennett, Senior Content and Community Initiatives Director, EDRM, and Director of Content Marketing, HaystackID, the event’s speakers include:

  • John Brewer, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, HaystackID
  • David R. Cohen, Partner, Reed Smith
  • Dr. Maura R. Grossman, Principal, Maura Grossman Law
  • Mary Mack, Chief Legal Officer & CEO, EDRM
  • Kaylee Walstad, Chief Strategy Officer, EDRM

Workshop Details

“Generative AI probably isn’t coming for your job anytime soon, but if you are the proponent or opponent of evidence in court, or a judge or a juror, you are likely in for a bumpy ride in the real near future,” said Grossman.

This workshop is intended to allow e-discovery pros from speakers to attendees to engage in a collaborative discussion. With generative AI, we’re all figuring out what this technology means for how we can uplevel what we do. The more we can share ideas, the better equipped we’ll all be to excel in our roles.
